I had already attended the Red Cross Certification Program, so at first, was skeptical. However, five minutes into "Pet Tech Pet CPR, First Aid & Care Program" I knew I would be learning so much more! If you are a pet sitter or a pet owner or you have family members with pets -- all should attend this program. You will find it invaluable and it will give you the confidence, as well as the peace of mind to face any emergency -- minor or major. Bravo, Linda -- and thank you!

I thought the First Aid/ CPR class was very worthwhile and so very informative. In my mind, Linda taught it perfectly. She was very detailed and explicit in carefully explaining all the different situations needing pet First Aid or CPR. She explained and went over the processes many times until we thoroughly understood, and then had each of us perform CPR or FirstAid individually on a stuffed dog to reconfirm we did it all properly in case of a pet emergency. I am so happy to have had this opportunity to learn all this.
Thanks so much, Linda. You did a fabulous job!
I just took the class FIRST AID/CPR this past Saturday with Linda and I loved it! I learned a lot. We have an 8 year old Yellow Lab. Knowing that she is getting older, we are always a little concerned when we take her hiking or on vacation. After taking this course, I feel comfortable that if there is a problem, I will be able to help her. Working for Nana's Pet Sitting, I love all of the dogs and cats I visit. If any of them have a problem I will be able to help them. I hope I never have to use this training, but I am very glad that I have it. I think that any pet owner should take this course. It covers so many things that we could deal with on an everyday basis: an insect bite, bleeding from a cut on a pet's paw pads, and even CPR and rescue breathing. I know that a lot of pet owners are active with their dogs. I see them hiking, playing in the park, and having fun at the beach. So if you could help your pet when there is no one around, at home or away, wouldn't that be great?
Great job Linda!
As a pet owner, as well as a pet sitter with Nana's Pet Sitting, I was so happy to have the opportunity to take the "Pet Tech Pet CPR, First Aid and Care Program" with Linda Edwards. The 8-hour class was comprehensive and covered all aspects of pet first aid - as well as preventive and wellness assessment and care.
Now, should the need ever arise, this knowledge will enable me to handle the pet emergency situation with confidence and with the appropriate response and care for the dog or cat. What a great and very helpful new skill set to have!
Although I hope that I never have to use what I learned, the "Pet Tech Pet CPR, First Aid and Care Program" class that I took with Linda was well worthwhile. I am CPR certified for humans, so I was originally thinking I wouldn’t learn much in addition to what I already know, but I was wrong. I learned so much and being a pet owner myself, this information is invaluable. The class was fun and very interactive. We not only learned how to save an animal in respiratory or cardiac distress, or in need of first aid, but we learned how to check our pets with a “snout to tail” assessment to better know our pets, making us more aware if something were not right with them. I am very happy to have been a part of this class and I feel confident that I would be able to handle a situation should one arise. Thank you!
I was thinking of you last week when I had to use my new pet first aid skills...for my own dog. She is fine now, but in the time of emergency, having steps to follow helped me to keep a calm head, when I was truly freaking out inside! And, having my vet programmed into my cell phone and on my vet-list in the car saved me tons of time getting her to care. Thank you for all the wonderful information you shared with us in the class you brought to Asheville.
The information I learned in Linda's class is invaluable and I cannot believe that, as a pet owner for years, I did not already take the time to learn it. I now feel extremely prepared to handle a multitude of situations that we may face in our doggy daycare. The class itself was thorough yet well-paced, hands-on so we could practice what we were learning, and we each left with a packet of handouts and other resources that we can refer back to as needed. We will be sending all of our key employees to Pet CPR & First Aid with Linda Edwards. Everyone who is a pet owner or in the pet business needs this information!
Traffic and weather on Friday was rough, so my drive home took almost 16 hours and although I was glad to pull into my garage at almost 6:00am on Saturday, June 14th, I was processing the Instructor Training and my experience as a student in your class and could not sleep. I cannot thank you enough for being my Master Instructor! You touched my life in a very special way and I will always remember and be grateful to you for teaching me how to become a Pet Tech Instructor. When I signed up for the Instructor Course I really didn't know what to expect and I was nervous, wondering if I would pass the course and be able to do the job. From the moment I walked into your class, the nervousness diminished and my confidence began to increase. The positive energy I could feel from you assured me I was in the best hands possible to learn. You are one special lady!
Our pet sitting business was a sponsor of a local event on Saturday, so my spouse and I packed our Pet Taxi Vehicle with our pet sitting materials and headed to the event. I took one of my CPR Doggies and a sign that I had quickly typed ... "Pet Emergency, what would you do?" In the event of a Pet Emergency you might NOT have enough time to make it to the veterinary hospital, but YOU CAN learn Pet First Aid & CPR so YOU WILL have the resources and knowledge to immediately try to save your pets life. SIGN HERE to learn what our Certified Pet Tech Instructor can teach you about Pet First Aid and CPR. By the end of the day, 22 people signed up with interest to attend a class for Pet First Aid and CPR.
I am very excited to start teaching the Pet Tech courses and look forward to perfecting my skill to be the best possible instructor, I can be. I would recommend everyone to attend your Instructor Class, because you have excellent teaching abilities, which are effective and promote a great learning environment. You are kind, but firm and consistent. You speak clearly and with such confidence and compassion. You are truly a Master of your craft. I look forward to staying in touch with you and hope to see some pictures of Sophie. Sophie also touched my heart in a special way. She is one of God's blessings to you and to each student she helps to teach as well. The little blessing and prayer I said with Sophie before I said goodbye, I say and leave with you both: "May God always keep you safe and well from morning sunrise, through dawn of day and over night by the moonlight. May your heart always know joy and your lips laughter. May you know you are special, unique, and wonderfully created. May you always know how much you are loved, my special friend."

Thanks for a great pet CPR and first aid class today. You have a gift of making people feel comfortable and it's easy to listen to you. I love all the real life stories you share and your teaching manner is easy-going and certainly not offensive or criticizing. You teach with love and that's an intangible gift to be proud of!
The best $$ you can spend on your pet or your pet business! It's a primer on all aspects of pet care that relate to the health and safety of your animal companions or those in your care. What makes course especially worthwhile is Linda's love for pets which translates to a quick-moving and energizing learning experience for participants. She is not only an educator - she combines cheerleader, drill sergeant, story teller and passionate pet advocate!
I had a great time and love the way the class was presented. Loved the real cat and how sweet she was with all of us putting on her biting mask. I am very glad I took the class and everyone who has pets should.

I took your class last summer along with one of my employees. I never imagined that I would have to use the knowledge you gave me, but I'm so happy to have it.
Today one of my best clients (5y/o bulldog) went into respiratory distress due to allergies and some medicine he was on. I took him to a local vet and they immediately sent me to CVS. On the way there he stopped breathing. I pulled over onto an exit ramp, flipped him on his back, and preformed CPR for almost two minutes. He started breathing again and I was able to get him to CVS.
He's stable and alive thanks to you.

Fantastic class! I took the PetSaver and PetTech Instructor Class with Linda Edwards of Nana's Pet First Aid and CPR in Charlotte, NC and gained a wealth of knowledge from my excellent instructor, Linda. The knowledge learned in the PetSaver Class is extremely helpful to me as Pet Care Professional and also as a pet parent. In addition, I learned an amazing amount of information the in the Instructor Class and I recommend anyone interested in becoming a Pet CPR and First Aid instructor to take the class through PetTech and to also look up PetTech Master Instructor, Linda Edwards and take the course through her Nana's Pet First Aid and CPR; it is well worth the trip to Charlotte! Thanks, Linda for making this learning experience an enjoyable one!
I recently completed Pet Tech's Pet Saver Course with Linda Edwards. I was very nervous at first, but she made me feel very comfortable. She would repeatedly go over every item until I knew what I was doing. She also has the patience of a saint. She let me know that I can always call her when needed.
I am confident now that I can run a successful Pet CPR business.
Thank you for presenting such a wonderful class. It was more than I could of imagined. I gained a tremendous amount of knowledge and totally enjoyed myself. I've already been practicing on Miles.
You are an excellent instructor and teach in a way that makes one feel that they are capable of actually doing what your teaching, while not making them feel self-conscious. Great job!!
I took the Pet Tech Instructor class back in November 2017 and I really wanted to let Linda know how much I really enjoyed coming out to NC from Memphis, TN to take the 3 day class. I learned so much in 3 days that I have been able to apply the knowledge to my own classes. This was really a GREAT and FUN class and would definitely take other classes from Linda in the future!
I took Linda's class in January, and was beyond impressed. She was professional, knowledgeable, and extremely engaging! The more I learned, the more I wanted to keep going! Her sweet girl, Gracie, was amazing to work with and it definitely made the class more hands-on and applicable. I work with a large pet-sitting company in Northern Virginia, and instantly found the knowledge I learned to be of great value! Not only did I immediately begin teaching Pet Tech classes within the company, but I had two experiences with dogs choking. Had I not been trained in first aid and cpr, the sitters would not have reached out to me for assistance, and there could have been a different end result. Thankfully, neither dog ended up needing CPR, but the training I had brought both animals help, and the clients were very thankful. We now have a plan in place to train sitters, as well as letting them know what to look for in case they need to reach our for immediate help. Thank you Linda!!!
Linda’s PetSaver class is a must-have for pet industry professionals. Simply put: I signed up because I wanted to have my own bases covered for emergencies within my dog business. However, I received so much more than just that, truly an exceptional instruction with hands-on learning. Linda made the class thoroughly enjoyable for all, and made sure that everyone fully understood each learning topic. If you are considering this class, then you are a perfect candidate—because everyone who owns, works alongside, or just loves dogs and cats will benefit from this course!
Linda is an amazing instructor. I flew all the way from Minnesota to North Carolina for the PetTech Instructor Training. I was not disappointed. Remarkable training skills … always took our answers seriously, never dismissed them as wrong, emphasized good answers, provided useful examples, etc. Thank you very much!
Without a doubt, I would do it over again! Thanks Linda, for not only teaching me as a new instructor but for the amazing friendship we created.
If you have a pet business or just love your pet, this is the class for you. The reason I took this class is my dog choked on a daffodil right in front of me. The only thing I knew to do is pat his back. His tongue was blue, it was about to be bad, on a Sunday when vets are closed. Luckily he coughed it up. If you don’t want to feel helpless like the way I felt, I suggest you call Nana. With her hands-on class you will feel more confident in your abilities to save your best friend. Don’t be a victim, learn to save your furry friend.
Thank you so much for the knowledge you gave me and my family.
Linda is amazing! She taught me CPR and pet safety using a method that keeps these very important processes front and center when I am with my pets or other people’s pets. Linda provided valuable information that was totally new to me but is crucial knowledge for every pet owner/caregiver. This class is an absolute testament to Linda’s lifelong dedication to animals and their wellbeing. Very professional, fun and enjoyable class. Thank you, Linda!
I've taught a few hundred people the pet first aid & CPR skills that I learned in your class. Fortunately, I never had to use my knowledge first hand until last night when my dog came in from outside and showed signs of bloat. My wife told me something was wrong and I immediately recognized the signs/symptoms. I called the emergency clinic and told them I'm headed in with a 10-year-old basset/beagle presenting with bloat and that we were approximately 30 minutes away. My neighbor watched our son and my wife rode in the back seat with our dog, Chester. During transit, Chester's stomach corrected itself and he was able to throw up, but the damage had already been done because the bloat caused a ruptured small gastric artery. He was bleeding internally. I pulled into the emergency vet clinic and they were able to stabilize him overnight so that the surgical experts could get their hands inside of him this morning. Surgery this morning was a complete success! They identified the bleed and corrected the issue. They also identified a mass in his spleen the size of a racquetball, so they removed that and sent it for biopsy. They identified cysts on his kidneys and diagnosed him with Polycystic Kidney Disease, a condition which can be managed through lifestyle changes and has a favorable prognosis. They biopsied his liver as well, just for good measure. All in all, quick and decisive action upon recognizing bloat has saved my dog's life and I couldn't be happier with the way this near-tragedy has turned out. I get to keep my best friend for a little while longer!
When teaching, my "reason" has always been that I believe Chester saved my life when I was depressed and feeling very suicidal. I've always felt that I owe it to him to be ready when he needs me the most. I don't know if I'll be able to say that in the near future without crying about what we've just gone through.
Thank you for adding the topic of bloat to your presentation. It absolutely made an impact on our family last night.
I recently attended the Pet Saver class offered through Nana's Pet First Aid and CPR. This course exceeded my expectations and went well beyond just sitting in a class to get a certificate. The skills practiced and the information presented were not only valuable to me as a Canine Massage Therapist but as a pet owner as well. Any dog or cat owner would benefit from this class!

Thank you for teaching this class, it was very informative. I especially liked hearing about the experiences that people have had. It really drove home the seriousness of the subject matter. Because of this, I feel that I will be a more responsible pet owner and caretaker. In the future, I will be recommending people take your classes if they are interested in pet first aid and CPR. Again, thank you for teaching this class.
